Cafeteria building continues

November 2019новые мфо займы

The students and teachers have been working hard this term. They are studying science as one of their classes and are working on projects and experiments.

Some of the girls are presenting their science experiments in these pictures. These first two pictures are extraction exercises, using solids and liquids.

These next two pictures display a project with paper.

This next science project shows the making of magnesium oxide.

In Malawi, the impact of climate change is significant. In the communities our students come from, their food is generally cooked over an open flame, making gathering wood an important daily activity. This dependency on wood has caused much of the local tree population to be destroyed.

At our school, you will start to see a “greening” at the campus as the girls are both planting and caring for trees.

We expect over the next short period of time, with the mild climate, that our school property will continue to turn green. The classroom block grounds look amazing with the green grass and the trees planted only just over a year ago!

Throughout the month, the crew were working on the Cafeteria, filling the beams with cement and preparing the interior walls.

The students are excited to see the Cafeteria being built. They are enjoying good, wholesome meals at Kuwala. Soon they will be moving from the temporary cafeteria to the new cafeteria with a new kitchen.

The Teacher’s house shows the roof being installed and the interior walls have been plastered.

There is also much anticipation, as an area of the campus that was once bare will soon have a greenhouse.

There will be more opportunity for the students to learn and experiment, plant and tend to plants and produce for the school.

Scholarship Sponsorships are still available.

Not every student has a sponsor. Our $100.00/month ($1200.00/year) scholarship sponsors will receive a separate personalized email with a picture and profile of their student that will include a personalized letter written by your student.

Further communication will continue throughout the year from the students to their sponsors.

Thank you for your encouragement, support and patience as we continue to grow, continue to learn and continue to impact the lives of girls with no other option in life; to educate and to deliver them out of poverty; giving them a chance to positively impact their families and communities.

Installing transformer to power the campus

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

Galatians 6:9

Harvest! That is exactly what happened at Kuwala in October. A plentiful harvest! The students and staff grew an abundance of tomatoes and greens in their very own garden and reaped the benefits by never giving up, keeping a positive mind, consistent prayer and trusting that God will always provide for them.

There was also plenty of excitement in the hallways of the school as the girls received their soccer and netball jerseys. This is the first time any of them have ever put on a sports uniform.

The school also welcomed Tiffany, a visitor from the US. She is helping out for a few days and enjoying the opportunity to learn about the school and the students.

Power has arrived from the National Grid! Kuwala is now working to connect to all the buildings on campus. This will provide the much needed power and allow us to reduce our dependency on the diesel generator. The students will also have power available longer, allowing for better study time.

Thank you for your encouragement and thank you for your support as we continue to grow, continue to learn and continue to impact the lives of girls with no other option in life; to educate and to deliver them out of poverty; giving them a chance to positively impact their families and communities.

St Peter’s Assembly Hall is starting to take shape

August 2019рефинансирование онлайн

It has been a very busy summer at Kuwala! The staff house and St Peter’s Assembly Hall are well established. Projects take time here as everything is done by hand…brick by brick. The buildings are making the area look more like a campus and the results will be very much appreciated by the staff and students when they return in September.

As this newsletter is written, the girls are preparing to return to school mid September. Our 61 girls will enter into Form 2, which is the equivalent of Grade 10. The subjects and course load will remain the same, however the academics and content will become much harder than last year. The students do need to complete a national exam after their four years, so they file everything they do over these four years to assist with studying for these exams.

STAFF HOUSE BELOW: The staff house is ready for the roof, windows and door.

THE ST PETER’S ASSEMBLY HALL

The St Peter’s Assembly Hall is progressing. This is a large project with many components. It will house the kitchen, food prep area, storage, washrooms, and seating for up to 150 people.

The fencing around the school property is almost complete. Very important component that was required due to the increasing expansion of the Kuwala campus and the storing of building supplies and materials. Also as a security measure for the staff and students.

We are always seeking to find more scholarship sponsors. Please spread our story. Our $100.00/month ($1200.00/year) scholarship sponsors will receive a separate personalized email with a picture and profile of their student that will include a personalized letter written by your student. Further communication will continue throughout the year from the students to their sponsors.

We are fundraising to assist with the additional textbooks required for Form 2. The cost per student is $185.00. If you, or your organization or book club, or congregation, or family are interested in donating for textbooks, please let us know. We are also providing a new uniform and sports jersey, for each of the girls. As they wear their uniform everyday of the school year and on the weekend to activities or outings, a single pair of socks and shirt wear out after the school season. They will also be playing netball and soccer and as a school, the jersey for participation is necessary. If you or your sports club, your golf team or your school want to rally around sponsoring the sports jerseys for our Kuwala students, just let us know as we’ll provide more details.

If you have any questions or suggestions to enhance your relationship with Kuwala Christian Girls School, please respond to this email and we’ll do our best to help. Thank you for your encouragement, support and patience as we continue to grow, continue to learn and continue to impact the lives of girls with no other option in life; to educate and to deliver them out of poverty; giving them a chance to positively impact their families and communities.

Kuwala on summer break

July 2019займ онлайн на карту без звонков срочно

While the students, staff and teachers are on summer break, so much has been happening at Kuwala Christian Girls School over the past month! As the students enjoy a break for the summer, some have activities and studies to complete over the summer so they can pick up easily when they return in the Fall.

The construction has been progressing well on the Teachers house and the St Peter’s Assembly Hall and Cafeteria. The teachers house foundation is complete and the walls are almost finished. The windows are being framed in now and soon there will be windows, doors and a roof!

St Peters Assembly Hall and Cafeteria foundation

The exterior walls are finished with bricks and mortar, all assembled by hand. The interior walls are assembled with concrete bricks and mortar. The teachers house will have a few bedrooms, an eating area, a bathroom and living space.

The exterior is beautifully constructed, the windows and doors will make this house secure and comfortable. Landscaping will also complement the house and the surrounding area of the school campus.

St Peters Assembly Hall and Cafeteria is the largest and most ambitious project to date. The foundation preparation is complete, the concrete floor is poured and the walls are going up. There is a significant amount of work and preparation for this project.

As part of the learning at Kuwala, as they prepare for the construction of the first greenhouse, the girls are learning to tend to a garden. They constructed the thatched fence, hand dug a watering hole so they do not have to use the limited power from the generator, planted and are watering and tending to the rows and rows and rows of fresh green produce!

Hand watering keeps the produce healthy and growing well, the mulch buildup and raised beds allows them to access the rows of plants, walking between each row to water and harvest for eating.

We are now working to purchase the required text books for our second school year. The cost per student is $185.00. If you are interested in sponsoring textbooks for one or more students, please let us know.

AND Student sponsorships are still available. Our $100.00/month ($1200.00/year) scholarship sponsors will receive a separate personalized email with a picture and profile of their student that will include a personalized letter written by your student. Further communication will continue throughout the year from the students to their sponsors. Check out our website kuwala.org to see how you can donate!

Our buildings are progressing well. The foundation walls and concrete slab are complete for the St Peter’s Assembly Hall and our first Staff House. The crews have accomplished all of this by hand. Mixers, tampers, shovels and wheelbarrows…a tremendous amount of work by villagers hired by our school administration. The villages are greatful for the work and everyone in the surrounding area has a hand in providing for this wonderful expanding opportunity for Kuwala Christian Girls School.

Our Staff house Foundation.

The girls are really growing and are challenged physically, academically and spiritually. The school and the girls are getting ready for end of year exams. The staff are planning to meet with the parents to encourage and provide study for the girls as they break for summer holiday.

The school has hired a nurse who is helping the girls with healthy talks and treatments. They are all excited to have her at the school.

As part of their service for the opportunity to attend school, the girls are required to contribute to service for the village. Part of that service has been a small school vegetable garden. The girls have planted mustard seed, tomatoes and other produce. They are learning lessons in agriculture and are very excited for the up and coming greenhouse.

As we enjoy our summer break, think about the start of another school year in September. We will be ordering books and materials for a new school year. Form 2, which is the Canadian equivalent of Grade 10. This new school year will require additional books and supplies for the curriculum. Soon we will be sharing a way you can take part in helping us provide for these materials.

There are still opportunities to sponsor a student. Our $100.00/month ($1200.00/year) scholarship sponsors will receive a separate personalized email with a picture and profile of their student that will include a personalized letter written by your student. Further communication will continue throughout the year from the students to their sponsors.

We encourage all our sponsors to write a letter to their student, encourage them to do well and focus on their studies. Keep it simple and please do not include personal information. Just a reminder that you are praying and encouraging them to be their best…in everything they do..GOD has a plan for them.

We encourage and invite you to pass along our story. We have a remarkable story to tell! Spread our story to your church, your book club, your Bible study, your friends and family.

We are very excited as construction is underway for the St Peter’s Assembly Hall. Our temporary kitchen has served us well, but will become a building for additional use. The new Assembly Hall will contain seating for 150 people, washrooms, a full complete kitchen with gas and running water, a food preparation area and a supplies and dry storage area.

In Malawi, everything is done by hand, this takes time and patience. Measuring,  developing and excavating the area, the arrival of gravel and materials all take a tremendous amount of planning and coordination. All the bricks are hand made, there is no big machinery in Malawi. Our partner and on-site contractor has done an incredible job of the other buildings at Kuwala, so we are excited to see this new facility come together.

At the same time, we are excavating and building our first teachers house and greenhouse. The plans are in place and the materials are arriving. We will keep you posted on the developments of these projects. It is such an exciting time at Kuwala. We are extremely blessed by the ongoing sponsorship, prayers and committment by so many people!

Not only are we building at Kuwala Christian Girls School, but we are employing the villagers in the area. This creates such excitement in the neighbouring villages and everyone benefits from the school and its purpose. Here is an example of that excitement. Twins, from a neighbouring village, have stopped by on their route to check out what has been happening. Such happiness is seen on their faces, as they know something incredible is happening here, something life-changing!

Pass along our story, pass along the YouTube video link. We are still looking for more sponsorships, our goal is to have each and every one of our 60 girls sponsored. We are almost there. As we anticipate Spring and begin to look forward to getting out into our yards, the girls at Kuwala have also been working on the plants, shrubs and trees at the school.

School life continues at Kuwala and now that the National Power Company has brought power to our school property, work continues to complete the hook up of power to the individual buildings.

Our story, while still early on, is one that is already making a change! Our next step is to expand our base of support. Below you will find a link to a video of the Kuwala Christian Girls School story. We now have an ask, of each of you, as partners in this story. Please take 7 minutes to watch this video story, then share the video link with your family and friends. Here is an example of what one of our supporters has done…

“Hello, I have become actively involved as a board member of Kuwala Christian Girls School in Malawi, Africa. I am excited about the difference we are making in a country that has challenges, including extreme poverty, lack of educational opportunities and a desperate need for a hand up. Although it is early on for us, the potential, positive impact we are already making and can expand on in the future is tremendous. My ask is that you take few minutes to watch this video, about what we are doing and why. If you have any questions, or would like more information, please feel free to contact me. I would also encourage you to share this with anyone you feel may be interested. We are growing, actively looking for more supporters and partners.”

The rainy season is upon Malawi.

March 2019 займ ночью срочно

As the rains continue into the month of March, you may have heard in the news, the devasting flooding in Malawi. The school and surrounding area are fine, however in the South of the country there has been a lot of damage. Netflix is currently featuring a new movie about Malawi; “The boy who harnessed the wind”. It is a true story about a young boy in Malawi.

Kuwala hosted a parents day which was a great success. The parents received updates on their girls studies and met the teachers at the school. It is very encouraging to have the parents see their daughters succeed at their studies and that they are all doing so well and are happy at school.

Chess, sewing, writing, essays and poetry; these are some of the exciting activites taking place at the school. The game of chess teaches the girls reasoning and patience and challenges them to think and make good decisions. This is especially helpful for their science and math classes. Sewing also teaches them patience, encourages them to pay attention to detail, and to learn a new skill.

The school installed the new pumping system and pumping station. This replaces an old system and will provide a remarkable difference in the water system pressure and flow and will accommodate our growing needs for water accessibility from the water tower throughout the school campus.

Although this year the rainy season has been somewhat stronger than usual, the good news is that our tree planting program is off to a good start. This is very important, as much of the lands in Malawi have been stripped of trees for use as firewood. Our tree planting program is in the very early stages but the rains and warm temperatures are seeing our trees and bushes take root. Over the next few years, as the girls continue to tend to the landscaping, our walkways and surrounding areas will be beautiful.

We are seeking more scholarship sponsors. Our $100.00/month ($1200.00/year) scholarship sponsors will receive a separate personalized email with a picture and profile of their student that will include a personalized letter written by your student. Further communication will continue throughout the year from the students to their sponsors. Talk to your friends and family. Encourage others to visit our website and see the amazing life changing opportunity.

Here are a few poems, written by some of the students. They call for change, they encourage everyone to get involved in making a difference in the life of a girl. Education is changing their outlook, it is giving them confidence, giving them strength, giving them a future that is bright.

New textbooks are in the house.

February 2019   займ на карту до 18 лет студенту

In Malawi, with a temperature in the mid 20’s (on the positive side!) the girls are excited to be working in the their second semester with new textbooks! These books are a great addition to their learning. Reading and workbooks; plenty of new resources to enrich their learning.

In addition to the new textbooks, the teachers are working to create a fun and engaging atmosphere, including both indoor and outdoor activities.

We have been very fortunate to have more support coming in for many of our capital projects. Time is spent upfront, firming up pricing with suppliers, as in Malawi, there can be wide swings in pricing and availability for items like lumber and concrete. Our plans are to be prudent and invest the time upfront before we begin, to make sure we have a solid confirmation and control on costs.

We are getting ready to begin our first teachers house. A significant donation from a private family will allow us to proceed with the teachers house and for that we are deeply thankful! We have also secured another trusted contractor to complete this project. Together with the St Peter’s Assembly Hall, significant employment opportunities will be generated for local villagers, which will also have a very positive impact on the local economy.   Now that the rainy season is ending and work can resume outside, our full pumping system for our water well will begin and a new campus perimeter wire fence will be installed. This is necessary, as a security measure, while we begin to bring in supplies for our building projects. Power poles have been installed and engineers will follow to complete the wiring for connection to the national power grid. When the power grid connection and the fencing is complete, we will expand our night time lighting on campus. Here is a google maps campus plan illustrating the overall plan for the complete campus, the areas in bold are the buildings that are complete, the shaded areas represent the future projects.

Our scholarship sponsors will have received a letter and photo from their student at Kuwala. We encourage you to write back to your student. If you would like to write, please do so by sending a return letter by email to our Board member Ruth Hessmann at [email protected] and she will see that it is forwarded to Kuwala and given to your student. It will be wonderful to build relationships with these girls over a four year period and we are certain that they will enjoy learning a bit about you. Some suggestions for you to write about may be things you enjoy doing (hobbie, crafts or sports), your work, or things you think the girls can relate to. Please do not offer any personal information or give them false expectations about meeting someday. Please have your letter emailed before March 29, 2019. We are still looking for scholarship sponsors, so every girl at Kuwala is appropriately sponsored. Talk about this life changing opportunity with your family and friends. $100.00 /month will sponsor a girl and give her the gift of an education.

Save the Date:Wednesday March 13 – 7:00 pm

Thank You for your support of Kuwala Christian Girls School! As we continue to progress, we are also focused on keeping all of our supporters current on our progress. If you are interested and available, we will be hosting a one hour event in Winnipeg, featuring a presentation by members of the Board, a question and answer session, followed by coffee and dessert. We encourage you to bring a guest.

RSVP to Board member, Leslie Kinzel at [email protected] before March 6. Please provide your full name and the name of your guest. We will advise of the location for the event, once we have confirmed the attendance.

As we move into the thick of winter here in Canada, our partners in Malawi are living through their warm but very wet rainy season. Over the past several weeks, considerable “behind the scenes” work has been taking place. We have been working hard on our plans for 2019 and defining our priority list.

The girls are back after Christmas break and are ready to continue learning in term two. They are very thankful for their teachers. Kuwala has one Matron who lives with the girls at the school and 4 other teachers, here is a picture of the teachers and Matron who work with the girls at Kuwala.

On the weekends, while still on campus, the girls are learning chess and participating in sports and other activities.

While the students were away, the final touches were completed on the water tower. The water tower now has a set of concrete stairs and hand railings.

Our 2019 plan is ambitious…

1.With the support from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Winnipeg, we are in the final stages of securing contractors to begin work on a very ambitious project, the St Peters Assembly Hall. This structure will house a permanent kitchen, another set of washrooms, a food preparation area, a food storage area and a seating area with tables and chairs for up to 150 people. The St Peters Assembly Hall will become the center hub for our campus and a gathering place for the school.

2. We are purchasing the next set of textbooks and building a plan to equip a science laboratory inside one of the classrooms. This will require a series of purchases of equipment as funding is secured. This equipment is a vital, important and valuable teaching tool for the school.

3. We have received a Grant from the Manitoba Council for International Cooperation (MCIC) to assist in the purchase of, what we hope will be, the first of our greenhouses. This will provide an opportunity for the school to produce fresh food, as well as provide a valuable classroom for the students to learn about greenhouse food production.

4. We are excited to confirm that a significant donation has been received to build our first teachers home on campus in 2019. This is a critical element for the school as it will not only build a strong campus environment but set the stage to attract the best teachers to Kuwala Christian Girls School. This donation will also cover the installation of a pump system to pump well water to the water tower and complete the additional funds required to go ahead with the school’s first greenhouse.

If you are interested, there are still a variety of projects to support, and a number of scholarship sponsors still needed to help a girl achieve success in life through education. Further potential plans for 2019 include:

– Wire fencing around the campus for added security.
– A basketball court, Netball court and a soccer pitch.
– A Maize (Corn) grinder for the kitchen.
– Civil works that include expanding our drainage system and pathways.

Our $100.00/month ($1200.00/year) scholarship sponsors will receive a separate personalized email with a picture and profile of their student that will include a personalized letter written by your student. Further communication will continue throughout the year from the students to their sponsors.

Forward this opportunity, pray and talk to those you know who may want to become involved in something life-changing! Thank you for your encouragement, committment and support as we continue to grow, continue to learn and continue to impact the lives of girls with no other option in life; to educate and to deliver them out of poverty; giving them a chance to positively impact their families and communities.

As Kuwala wraps up its first semester for the Christmas holidays this week, we are reflecting on a wonderful and successful year. The girls are finishing with exams, the teachers are marking and they are looking forward to going home for a short break over the holiday. There was even a valuation day, just for parents, to provide explanation and appreciation for what the students and teachers are achieving at Kuwala.мгновенный займ на карту без проверок

The girls and staff enjoyed a wonderful Christmas dinner prepared at the school. During the rainy season, the girls are happy and busy picking edible ants for dinner. Each girl was given the opportunity to light a candle at the dinner, this was significant as it challenges them to go home and be a brighter shining light in their village.

The year started with the purchase of a bare piece of land from the very supportive neighbouring villages, to the growth of a fully functioning school with 60 girls in Grade Nine. These girls, without Kuwala, would likely be extremely challenged to achieve a high school education and the opportunities that provides them.

The school now has a strong working water well and a two story water tower; a fully functioning septic and sewer system; a brand new three room classroom block and a 60 student hostel with solar power and fully functioning washrooms. The temporary kitchen and dining hall has worked very efficiently and after receiving a very generous sponsorship, plans are underway to build the permanent kitchen and meeting hall in the new year.

We have started down the path of installing the ARES (African Ruggedized Education System) so that our students will be using computers and have access to top education sites in a controlled environment.

In December, we recieved our first grant to apply towards a greenhouse that will not only provide a learning and working opportunity for the girls, but provide fresh grown produce for the school. We are looking for a sponsor to match this grant so we can proceed with this project as soon as possible.

We are also very thankful for a sponsorship partner that came forward to provide for the installation of a hot water system for the washroom. This is a first for the girls. Not only have they have never experienced running water, nor taking a shower…but never with hot running water…this is wonderful. The girls are also extremely excited to be sleeping in their very own beds, with blankets, in a hostel with windows and doors that will keep them safe and protected.

Looking to next year, we still have much to do and many opportunities are available. Pray about considering supporting a project or sponsoring a girl. Talk about Kuwala with your friends and families. Large or small, every little bit helps make a difference in the lives of these students. There are opportunities where we are looking for financial support for some upcoming specific needs, here are just a few:

Bibles and Bible knowledge textbooks – $480.00
English language and grammar books – $265.00
Science books – $660.00
Library Bookshelves – $375.00
Printer and cartridges – $1700.00

Many other teaching and Administration supplies….

There are some larger projects planned for 2019, a few include: Greenhouse – $8000.00
Teachers housing – $41000.00
Perimeter fencing for the school – $9400.00
Sports fields – $15000.00
Solar power for class block – $7700.00

Many other projects including pumping system, landscaping etc.

We are continuing to look for those interested in becoming sponsors of our students. If you are able to support one of the girls, the $100.00/month ($1200.00/year) scholarship sponsors will receive a separate personalized email with a picture and profile of their student that will include a personalized letter written by your student.

If you have any questions or suggestions to enhance your relationship with Kuwala Christian Girls School, please respond to this email and we’ll do our best to help. Kuwala Christian Girls School had a recent visit from Dr. Allan Jones of Canadian Vision Care – a registered Canadian Charity. Dr Jones is an optometrist located in Calgary, Alberta who regulary volunteers his time with Canadian Vision Care, providing services to those who are not able to have regular eye care. Dr Jones does considerable work in Malawi and on a recent trip, attended our school and provided free eye exams to all of our students, and where required, free glasses. We thank Dr. Jones and Canadian Vision Care for your support.

Finally, you will see on our completed dormitory, solar panels that have now been installed, providing light to the girls – many for the first time! Our focus now is to continue with more solar installations in our other buildings moving forward, taking our reliance off of our generator for ongoing power needs.

We appreciate your support and patience as we continue to develop. There is still so much to do. We are passionate about changing the lives of these 60 girls and their communities, and for the girls who come after them. Thank you for your encouragement, support, prayers and patience. Spread the word, forward this newsletter to help impact the lives of girls with no other option in life; to educate and to deliver them out of poverty.

We appreciate your support and patience as we passionately work towards developing Kuwala Christian Girls School. Our newsletter will keep you updated on the exciting developments with the school and the students. Your enthusiasm and support is greatly impacting the rapid growth of the school and is greatly appreciated! “Kuwala” means “light” and the desire is for the light of God’s love in Jesus to shine to and through the girls at the school and beyond. Follow us and watch us grow! Shine Girls Shine!

OnSeptember 9th, Kuwala opened it’s doors to 60 girls! Most from rural areas and all from extremely poor socioeconomic backgrounds and from families experiencing extreme poverty. These girls are starting secondary school covering Forms 1-4 which is the equivalent of Grade 9-12. These girls have big dreams but their dreams will not come without struggle. All classes at Kuwala are taught in English. These girls have never had the opportunity to attend a nursery school, therefore, only started learning English in Primary school at the age of 6. They did not have parents to speak English at home, to help them learn at an early age or help them with school in their primary years. These girls have never experienced running water, have never been able to shower with warm water, have never used flushing toilets, nor have ever had a mattress to sleep on and a warm blanket. They have left the only family and home they have known to live together at the school where they will be safe to study, learn and grow to their full potential. It will be a struggle, but they are determined.

Kuwala Christian Girls School has adopted a curriculum that includes, English, Chichewa (local language), Math, Chemistry, Physics, Agriculture, Geography, Biology, Computer studies, History and Bible Knowledge. Physical Education is also offered as an extra curricular activity.

A weekday at Kuwala starts at 4:00 am. Bathing, cleaning rooms and making beds. Breakfast at 6:00 am is porridge made with maize flour, salt and sugar. Classes start at 7:10 am until 12:30 with a 20 minute break; lunch runs from 12:30 to 1:30 pm where the girls are eager to enjoy Nsima, a common food with beans.Classes then continue from 1:30 to 3:30. Activities after classes vary by the day; sports, story telling sessions as part of English learning, manual work and community services. All of the girls planted trees in the Fall and every student is  responsible to care and maintain up to 10 trees. Some of the girls have even taken to naming their trees as one way of showing love for the life they are responsible for. Study circle and clubs and societies are some of the other activities that take  place later in the week. Saturdays are reserved for Bible studies, academic studies, sports, laundry and traditional games and songs. Supper is always followed by a shower and study hall until 7:30 pm. Additional English classes provided by the teacher on campus follows until 8:30 pm. Then, they are free to self study until bedtime at 9:00 pm.

As the girls are living in an environment without parents, it is important to have structure and their time scheduled. Sports time is a very exciting time for the girls as well as is visiting day! Once a month, the girls get to see their parents, hear stories from home and are excited to get a few additional groceries the parents bring with them.

Care and love…two of the experiences the girls receive at Kuwala. On Saturdays, a nurse visits the girls in their hostel, something they would never get at home. The teachers preach love, integrity and peace for the sake of growth. Many have said they want to become nurses when they finish school at Kuwala. These girls already have a brighter future!

Our $100.00/month ($1200.00/year) scholarship sponsors will receive a separate personalized email with a picture and profile of their student that will include a personalized letter written by your student. Further communication will continue throughout the year from the students to their sponsors. While we have made significant progress with our sponsorship program, we continue to have girls who require sponsors. Please feel encouraged to share this newsletter with friends and family or others who you feel would be interested to become involved as a supporter or student sponsor.

Project sponsorship opportunities are also welcome as we prepare to develop plans for a greenhouse, staff housing and increased enrollment.

If you have any questions or suggestions to enhance your relationship with Kuwala Christian Girls School, please respond to this email and we’ll do our best to help. Thank you for your encouragement, support and patience as we continue to grow, continue to learn and continue to impact the lives of girls with no other option in life; to educate and empower them and to deliver them out of poverty; giving them a chance to positively impact their families and communities.
